FAS Senate Announces New Chair, Deputy Chair and Slate of Senators

The FAS Senate is pleased to announce the newly-elected Chair, Deputy Chair and slate of senators for 2020-2022:

Newly-elected senators are: David Bercovici, Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences; R. Howard Bloch, French; Nicholas Christakis, Sociology, Institute for Social and Policy Studies,  Biomedical Engineering, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and Medicine; Aimee Cox, African American Studies; Marta Figlerowicz, Comparative Literature; Miki Havlickova, Mathematics; Matthew Jacobson, American Studies, African American Studies, and History; Kathryn Slanski, Humanities, and in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations; Meg Urry, Physics; Steven Wilkinson, Political Science, Mac Millan Center, and Institution for Social and Policy Studies. They will join the following senators who are serving the second year of a two-year term: Sybil Alexandrov, Spanish and Portuguese; Emily Erikson, Sociology; Joseph Fischel, Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; John Geanakoplos, Economics; Alessandro Gomez, Mechanical Engineering, and Materials Science; Valerie Horsley, Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, and Dermatology; Jennifer Klein, History; Hélène Landemore, Political Science; Timothy Newhouse, Chemistry; William Nordhaus, Economics; Charles Schmuttenmaer, Chemistry; Paul Van Tassel, Chemical and Environmental Engineering, and of Biomedical Engineering.
