Welcome to the site of Yale’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences Senate. The 22 member elected Senate represents faculty from all ranks and divisions within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Yale. 2015-2016 was the Senate’s inaugural year as the chief representative and voice for the Yale FAS.

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences Senate (FASS) sponsored a forum “Science & Engineering: A Vision toward Excellence” on October 21, 2021 to discuss Yale’s ambitious agenda of science and engineering investments.  Panelists who spoke were  France Cordova, Astrophysicist and former director of the NSF; Frank Doyle, Dean of Engineering and Applied Science, Harvard and former President of Purdue; and Ed Stolper, Professor of Geology and former provost at Cal Tech.
